Forbes Names Gene Hiller Menswear In Top 10 Best Stores
Gene Hiller Menswear in Sausalito is one of Forbes magazine’s 10 best clothing stores for men in the United States.The honor is shared with such specialty retail stores as On The Fly in San Francisco and Bergdorf Goodman in New York.
The haberdashery was opened in San Francisco in 1953 by Gene Hiller and moved to Sausalito in 1960. Now co-owned by buyer Tom Gangitano, the store is in 8,000 square feet at the old city hall building at 729 Bridgeway.
Philippe Hobson of the financial services firm Edward Jones’ Novato office recently won the Pacesetters Award for his outstanding performance during his first three years at the company.

Jake Voit was promoted to sustainability manager of Cagwin & Dorward, the Novato landscaping firm.
His background includes landscaping, environmental studies, sustainable agriculture, community development, permaculture and sustainability education.
In his new position he will complete an organic maintenance program and develop sustainable business practices for the firm.
